How to Record your Computer Screen with VLC Player

Using a VLC media player you can record your computer screen. VLC gives the option to record your computer screen you no need to install any other software plugin for recording your screen.

How to record your screen:

Open your VLC player and see the option present top bar menu in that you will see the Media -> Open Capture Device.

In that Open Media screen you will see the Capturer mode option in that dropdown select Desktop and Desired Frame rate for the capture option set the 15.00f/s. Bottom of the screen you will see the play button near you will see dropdown arrow select that and choose convert option.

It will take to covert screen in that select profile option. In that profile you will choose the MP4/MOV option.

Also, then select the Video codec option, check the Video option and select the Codec dropdown select the H-264 option and give the profile name and click the Create button.

Now you want to configure the save location. Where you want to save the file on your computer, select the Browse button and choose the location.

After choosing the location select the Start button to record the screen.

Now VLC player start recording the screen. If you want to stop recording click the stop button on the VLC player. You can also pause the recording by using the play button.
