How to Embed a Contact Card, Files and Calendar Events in a Google Docs Document

Google Drive is a Cloud Storage using this you can save the file like images, videos, document up to 15GB. Google Drive also has the online tools Google Docs, Google Sheet, Google Slides, etc.

Google Docs is used for document preparation. You can create any documents like bills, resumes, property documents, and any typing document you can use this tool to create. Or if you have the document already on your computer or any external drive you can upload and view it on Google Docs. Google adds a lot of features regularly on Google Drives now recently added the new feature you can embed the contact and file in Google Docs file.

Using this embed feature you can add the contact detail just tag the email id on file. After that you mouse over on that contact information you will get the option to Call, Email, Meeting, and Chat with that person.

Also, you can refer to the file on Google Docs. If you have any files like docs, sheets, slides, images, videos, etc on your Google Drive account you can tag them on the Google Docs file. You can mouse over the link you will get a preview of the file in Google Docs itself.

How to embed contact and file on Google Docs:

It's just simple to open Google Drive. If you already have the Google Docs file just open it or you need to create the new file just click the New button top left corner a file select new button dropdown will open in that select Google Docs to create a new file.

After the open file, you need to add the contact type @ followed by the email added. if you want to add your friend email id and your friend mail id is jhon@gmail.com just type @john@gmail.com Once you start typing that email address shown below just select the address to add.

Once you add that address, a message box will open and say Mentioned people don't have access to this document. If you want to give access to that document just click the share button to share the document.

Now mouse over that name it will show details call, mail, chat and meeting and calendar.

Same steps for the file just type @ followed by the file name to add the file. Once you add the file mover the name it will show the preview to open and view the file Google docs itself.
