How to enable the Nearby Share option on Windows 11

Windows 11 OS has added the feature called a share. Using this you can share the file between nearby devices. This kind of option already available in the iOS devices like iPhone, iPad and Mac computers. Apple name this option called AirDrop using this user can share the files between near by Apple devices. There is no physical connection between these two devices files are shared through wireless.

The Same option now available on Windows 11 OS you can share the file between near by Windows Devices. If you want to try this option, you must enable this on your device and receiver-end devices. Then only you can share the files between two devices. Windows name this feature called Nearyby Sharing. In this near by sharing you can share files, photos, and links.

How to enable this Nearby Sharing:

Step 1: Power on the Windows 11 computer.

Step 2: Select Start Button and search settings and select the settings option on the search list.

Step 3: Now setting screen will open on the screen. Left side menu select System and right side screen scroll down below you will see the Nearby Sharing.

Step 4: Select the Nearby Sharing option inside the that you can change the ratio button to Everyone nearby option like shown in the below screen shot.

Now you device ready to share and receive the file from others.

Below the screen you can see some configuration option where the received file will save on your computer default it will save to download. If you want to change you can change it there.

You can also change the device name by clicking the Rename option to change your device name. Anybody wants to send the file to your they will find the device with the device name.
