How to find the indoor location without GPS and Wifi

find the indoor location

Microsoft launches a new app to find the correct path to your destination indoors. If you are in large buildings, malls, airports, and theatres you cannot know the correct path to the destination location. Microsoft worked on this and came up with the new idea of a new mobile app called Path Finder.

In open spaces like street, public ways you can use Maps and GPS tools to find where you are now and you can get to the correct destination you want to reach, but indoors like in malls and big buildings GPS is not able to locate your location. And also do not have the travel guide for your location.

Path Guide is an indoor navigation app that doesn’t rely on GPS or Wi-Fi and radio signals to help you get around. Instead, it works by having a human ‘leader’ record paths through the indoor space to various destinations simply by walking with their phones in hand and allowing other users to follow those paths with on-screen directions.

To achieve this, the app uses the sensors in your phone to trace your paths accurately down to the number of steps needed to get someplace. Path creators can also add text, audio, and image annotations for things like getting past locks and entering room key codes. Once you’ve traced a path, you can share it publicly and make it available to others, who can look it up using Path Guide’s search tool.

You can download this app from the Google Play store. Now it is only available for Android.
