Google Meet new Browser Shortcut to start a video call

Google Meet Browser Shortcut

The COVID-19 pandemic has led to a surge in video calling, as people have been using this technology to stay in touch with family and friends, as well as to conduct business meetings. Google Meet is a video calling app that is part of the G Suite, and it was recently made available to everyone for free. You can also use Google Meet from within the Gmail app.

Google has now added a new browser shortcut for Google Meet. To use this shortcut, simply type meet.new into the address bar of your browser. This will automatically open a new Google Meet session. If you are logged in to your Gmail account, you will be taken directly to the Google Meet calling page. If you are not logged in, you will be taken to the Gmail login page. Once you have logged in, you will be taken to the Google Meet calling page.

Google also has similar shortcuts for Google Drive Docs, Sheets, and Slides. To create a new Google Doc, type docs.new into the address bar of your browser. To create a new Google Sheet, type sheets.new. And to create a new Google Slide, type slide.new. These shortcuts will work in all major browsers.
